The last condo in a 10-unit development by Freret Street is up for grabs at $549K

Featuring front and rear balconies, it sits on the second floor of this freestanding building.

Drive down Valence Street toward Freret, and you’ll notice a row of new, double-galleried homes among its collection of double shotguns and Craftsman cottages. Though they loosely resemble the sprawling, stately abodes sprinkled throughout the Garden District, these buildings aren’t grand single-family homes—they’re a new condo development.

Ten units occupy the five buildings, each of which is a double, and all were built between 2016 and 2019. Prices started at $398,000 for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, and now all are sold except for this second-story condo at 2328 Valence Street.

It has front and rear balconies and just enough of a front yard to feel like a house, not an apartment. The interior has trendy amenities (granite counters, stainless-steel appliances, contemporary light fixtures, walk-in closets) and classic New Orleans features (floor-to-ceiling windows, transoms, high ceilings).

Its 1,746 square feet include three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. The pet-friendly condo development is a block off Freret Street, across the street from Samuel J. Green Chartrer School. Fees are $398/month, and the asking price is $549,000. There will be an open house at 2238 Valence Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 23.
