There seems to be a lot of development happening around the city lately—projects under construction, nearly ready to go, or just pie-in-the-sky plans that may be doomed to become arrested developments. We mapped eight of these bigger projects in various stages of completion, including a massive hotel, mixed-use facilities, hospital and airport expansions. Which one are you looking forward most to?

Louis Armstrong Airport Terminal

World Trade Center Redevelopment

Status: The developers recently released renderings and a website for the project, although an ongoing lawsuit from one of the losing development teams on the project may threaten progress.

Children's Hospital Campus Expansion

1031 Canal St. Mixed Use Development

Status: The long-stalled Mohan Kailas development began construction in October 2014.

Holy Cross School Redevelopment

Status: Construction is slated to begin early 2016.

Lafitte Greenway

Status: The greenway officially opened Nov. 6, but the park is still working on adding more trees, recreation areas and lighting.
